The Rare Story
RARE Steakhouse and Tavern is a one-of-a-kind fine dining concept that brings together the best qualities of world-class dining venues with USDA Prime, dry-aged steaks, exquisite wines and first-class service bolstered with Midwestern charm. The first Rare Steakhouse was opened in Madison, WI in May 2014 with a goal of recreating the nostalgia and romance of the classic steakhouse- where eating out was meant to be an experience. The second location in Milwaukee opened in 2016.

As an investment in better flavor for our diners, the extensive program offers a variety of cuts such as A5 Kobe Beef and New Frontier Bison Ribeye. Climate controlled aging rooms allow the cuts of meat to tenderize to perfection before they are butchered in-house and cooked precisely to order.
